Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) was established in 2000. It is a charity foundation (NGO) dedicated to providing assistance to all Malaysians in need, regardless of colour, race or creed.
WHO WE ARE
Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) is a Foundation incorporated for the purposes of receiving donations, subscriptions or otherwise, and to administer such funds for education, public welfare, research, health, medical and other charitable purposes for the benefit of needy Malaysians, irrespective of colour, race or creed.
PENYAYANG aspires to bring cheer and joy to the less fortunate and disadvantaged Malaysians. This will only be possible with support and assistance from well-wishers and all other caring Malaysians.
OUR FOUNDER
PENYAYANG’S founder is the late YABhg Tun Endon Mahmood, wife of the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, YABhg Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
YABhg Tun Endon was passionate about community work and the arts. She championed the Malaysia Batik: Crafted for the World Movement, which was conceived as a long-term vehicle in championing the Batik industry in Malaysia.
Being stricken by breast cancer herself, Tun Endon emphatised thoroughly with those inflicted with cancer. She set up Penyayang Pesakit Kanser to provide support for cancer patients and their families.
Since her demise on 20th October 2005, her daughter Pn. Nori Abdullah has been the Chairman of PENYAYANG.
PENYAYANG continues the legacy of YABhg Tun Endon Mahmood through its many activities and programmes.
