Logo Design Rationale

Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia (PENYAYANG) is a charity foundation dedicated to providing assistance to all Malaysians in need, regardless of colour, race or creed.

Forms of assistance range from deploying funds for the less fortunate and needy to providing aid for education, and carrying out constructive programmes for the betterment of Malaysian society.

Our logo, a graphic representation of two individuals, encapsulates the idea of support. The red icon symbolises the party in need, while the icon represents the helping hand.

Red, usually associated with danger, trouble or disaster, portrays one in need. The positive feature is the big smile on the face, as help is already at hand, literally.

Blue, representing calmness, serenity, feelings of well-being, portrays the provider of help and support. The smile symbolises the cheerfulness and positive attitude of the support provider.

Both icons have broad smiles-the smile of the recipient of appropriate assistance and the smile of the caring and emphatising donor.

Underscoring the graphics is the word, "PENYAYANG" which means caring. In total, the logo symbolises the objectives and commitment of the Foundation to facilitate and enable individuals or groups of people to develop their potential as productive citizens through the provision of appropriate assistance.
